- Jorge Martin wins the German Grand Prix sprint, defeating Miguel Oliveira and Pecco Bagnaia
- Martin extended his lead in the MotoGP standings after the win to 15 points, with his first Sprint win since Le Mans
- The race had a tight early fight, with all three riders briefly taking the lead before Martin took control
- Oliveira passed Bagnaia into the final corner, to take second – a first podium for the Trackhouse team
- Places 4 to 6 were taken by Ducati riders: Bastianini, Morbidelli and Marc Marquez
